Day 1: Cusco – Lares – Huacahuasi
Early departure from Cusco toward the Lares Valley. Visit the relaxing hot springs of Lares before starting the hike. Trek through scenic valleys and traditional Andean villages, meeting local Quechua families. Camp near Huacahuasi, surrounded by impressive mountain landscapes.
Day 2: Huacahuasi – Ipsay Pass – Patacancha
Ascend to the highest point of the trek, Ipsay Pass, with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and turquoise lagoons. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, descend toward Patacancha, a traditional weaving community where you will camp.
Day 3: Patacancha – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
Hike downhill through the Sacred Valley landscapes to Ollantaytambo. Explore this impressive Inca town before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to Machu Picchu. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 4: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
Early bus ride up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the ancient Inca citadel. Discover its temples, terraces, and history while enjoying spectacular views. After the visit, return to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Cusco.
