Nazca Lines Full Day

The Nazca Lines are enormous geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert, near the city of Nazca in Peru. They were created by the Nazca culture between about 200 BC and AD 600. The figures were made by removing dark stones from the desert surface to reveal the lighter soil underneath. There are hundreds of straight lines, geometric shapes, and drawings of animals such as a hummingbird, a monkey, and a spider, some measuring hundreds of meters. Because of their large size, they can only be fully seen from the air. Researchers believe they may have had religious, astronomical, or ceremonial purposes, and today they are one of the most famous archaeological sites in Peru.

Nazca Lines Full Day

The full day tour to the Nazca Lines begins with arrival in the city of Nazca and transfer to the María Reiche Aerodrome, where visitors register for the sightseeing flight. During the flight, different famous figures and geoglyphs such as the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider, and the condor can be seen. These figures were created by the Nazca culture many centuries ago. After the flight, the tour continues with a visit to the Nazca Lines Observation Tower, where some lines can be seen from the ground. Then the visit continues to the Antonini Archaeological Museum to learn more about the history and culture of the Nazca civilization. Finally, there is free time for lunch and to walk around the center of the city before the tour ends.
