Day 1: Cusco – Mountain Biking – Santa María
The journey begins with a departure from Cusco to the trek starting point. Bicycles are prepared for the downhill ride along rural paths through the Andes. Lunch is enjoyed as a picnic during the route. After cycling, there is a light hike to the first campsite in Santa María, with the option to visit nearby waterfalls. Upon arrival at the lodge, dinner is served and the guide provides an overview of the trek ahead.
Day 2: Santa María – Jungle Hike – Santa Teresa
After breakfast at the lodge, the trek continues on foot through high jungle terrain, rivers, and scenic landscapes toward Santa Teresa. Lunch is enjoyed along the way or upon arrival in the town. In the afternoon, there is an optional activity such as rafting on the Urubamba River or visiting the hydroelectric station. At the lodge in Santa Teresa, there is free time to relax or enjoy the hot springs of Cocalmayo. Dinner follows, and preparations are made for the hike toward Machu Picchu the next day.
Day 3: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric Station – Aguas Calientes
Breakfast is followed by a hike to the Hydroelectric Station, passing through lush jungle and mountain scenery. Lunch is served along the way before continuing on foot to Aguas Calientes, where participants check in at the hotel or lodge. There is free time to explore the town or rest. Dinner is served, and an early night is recommended to prepare for the visit to Machu Picchu.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
After breakfast, the ascent to Machu Picchu begins, either by walking or by bus. A guided tour of the citadel covers the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, the Main Plaza, and the agricultural terraces. Afterward, there is free time to explore and take photos. The trek concludes with a descent back to Aguas Calientes for an optional lunch, followed by a train ride to Ollantaytambo and transportation back to Cusco.
