Pickup and Departure from Cusco
The tour begins with hotel pickup in the city of Cusco. Then the journey starts through the Apurímac River Valley, where you can enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes, small villages, and stunning mountain views.
Breakfast in Mollepata
During the trip, there is a stop in the district of Mollepata to enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast. This place is known as the gateway to the route leading to the Salkantay snow-capped mountain.
Transfer to Soraypampa
After breakfast, the trip continues to the community of Soraypampa, which is the starting point of the hike. From here, visitors can already admire impressive views of the Salkantay snow-capped mountain.
Hike to Humantay Lake
The hike begins along ascending trails surrounded by mountains and high-Andean nature. During the walk, travelers can admire spectacular landscapes until reaching the impressive Humantay Lake, famous for the intense turquoise color of its waters.
Time at the Lake
Upon arrival, the guide provides information about the natural and cultural importance of the lake. Visitors have time to rest, take photographs, appreciate the scenery, and enjoy the environment dominated by the Humantay glacier.
Descent and Lunch
After enjoying the lake, the descent begins back to Soraypampa. Later, the group returns to Mollepata to enjoy a typical regional lunch. Return to Cusco
Finally, the journey back to Cusco begins, ending an unforgettable experience surrounded by nature and the spectacular landscapes of the Peruvian Andes.
